IKEA Recalls for Repair all ELDSLAGA Gas Hobs Purchased Before January 1st, 2018

As a precautionary measure, IKEA is conducting a recall for repair of all ELDSLAGA gas hobs purchased before January 1st, 2018.

Gas Safe Register has been advised by IKEA of a risk resulting from the wrong type of injector fitted to the back right burner of an ELDSLAGA gas hob.

As a precautionary measure, IKEA is conducting a recall for repair of all ELDSLAGA gas hobs purchased before January 1st, 2018. This action follows an investigation by the Belgian market surveillance authorities.

Customers are urged to stop using the rapid burner placed in the upper right corner (as pictured below) until the repair service has been completed. All other burners are safe to use.

Due to a human error at the supplier, the wrong gas injector was installed resulting in CO emissions above EU limits.

Please be aware that this fault does not increase the risk of fire or explosion and there have been no reported incidents.

What do I need to do if I own an ELDSLAGA gas hob?

To repair this product, IKEA has kindly asked affected customers to contact their Customer Service Team on 0203 645 0010 to book a time for the repair service.

Proof of purchase is not required and IKEA will do their utmost to minimise the waiting time.
